Mother and baby and Dad all said to be doing fine. We haven't heard from Matthew what they're calling him yet, so there's still time to place your bets. Mine's for 'Fyodor'...
He's called Finn (Irish - McCool etc - plenty of literary mentions but we just liked the name...) and he is fit and strong. Just fed for 40 mins through the world cup final.
We are chuffed beyond belief.
May post a pic if demand is high enough but don't want to get too OTT about being a dad...
Congratulations! Shouldn't worry about getting OTT. It's allowed.
The Flann O'Brian reference is a nice touch. Did you really want to associate your son with Irish writers who were nearly always drunk by breakfast time?
Yippee hooray & well done!!! Never done this blogging stuff before...my age etc.... but Finn is great news so have to learn new things, was looking for a picture, is there one? Am I just not seeing it??? Much love to you all Polly & Jeremy.. Trying to figure out what relation he is to me cousin once removed or something? And what about to J??? Twice removed maybe???
As usual Roz is slightly late on the uptake as I've been battling with the hells of moving house for about six weeks now!! Anyway I've finally managed to get myself an internet connection so that I can post on here to say Congratulations to the both of you :)
(And by the way, having read more recent entries, being able to wee on your own head is an amazing talent and one that you should be immensely proud of your young heir for achieving in so little time!!)
Big congratulations to Matthew and Mary from cousin Sarah!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Oh, happy day! All the best to baby son, may your welcome into this world be peaceful and joyous.
ReplyDeleteYes it's a boy!

ReplyDeleteAnother vote for a pic from the Gawne clan - no athena style naked midrift shots though.
Cool name as well - he's guaranteed to be a sailor.
