Marie Is No 1 Bestselling Author! ! ! !

Here are our top ten sellers - Marie is top! Ahead of Potter! (Harry you are so last week)

1: Gods Behaving Badly - Marie Phillips

2: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by JK Rowling

3: The Summer Book by Tove Jansson

4: Remainder by Tom McCarthy

5: The Book of London Lists by Nick Rennison

6: Half of a Yellow Sun by Chimamanda Adichie

7: On Chesil Beach by Ian McYawn

8: Out Stealing Horses by Per Petterson

9: Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe

10: What Was Lost by Catherine O'Flynn

Incidentally I had a peek at Amazon this am. They are twinning Marie's book with Alastair Campbell's Blair Years. Possible subtitle Men Who Think They Are Gods Behaving Badly... Are they joking? If so it's quite a funny for a robot!

  1. I just did a little dance at my desk!

Of course, I am now going to have to take you to court for breaking the embargo, think of all the poor children who might have the ending spoilt for them.

  7. Dude with an american accent just called to ask if we had signed copies.

(We also had our book dealer mate Tim e-mail to say he thought the book was one of the best he's seen for ages in terms of production. He only ever buys stuff he thinks is going to be worth wonga in the future.)

Said they would be available from tomorrow.

We chatted a little and it turns out his train from Brussels arrives at Waterloo at 6:30 tomorrow evening so he's going to drop by too...the dealer vultures are circling Marie!
